Tepic – A group of specialists from the Hum Vascular Alem Foundation on Tuesday thanked the state government, through the state’s Family Development Agency (DIF) for its support in providing high-quality vascular surgeries to low-income families, using high-tech equipment.

The DIF’s director, Charo Mejía, attended the Varicose Vein Surgery Day, held at the Specialized Medical Attention Unit. Mejía talked to the doctors of the foundation, and thanked them for their effort in favor of Nayarit residents, saying “it is a humanist labor, which has required the unification of many wills.”

Guillermo Ramón Aguilar Peralta, president of the Hum Vascular Alem Foundation, said that the support of the state government and the new hospital, Ciudad de la Salud (Health City), constructed by Gov. Ney González Sánchez have allowed several angiology specialists to perform their duties, learning and serving at the same time.

“This provides us with the opportunity to receive constant education, and it has also facilitated the incorporation of the Latin American Group of Laser Intravenous Surgery into the Ciudad de la Salud project,” Aguilar said.

Francisco Javier Llamas, the director of Hum Vascular Alem’s Surgery Medical Assistance Department, noted that the Latin American Group of Laser Intravenous Surgery is very interested in Nayarit because the governor and Mejía “have the will that contributes to the integration of new medical institutions into this project.”

Mejía also talked to some patients, who survived kidney transplants. They proposed to start a round of conferences in order to encourage those patients who are still waiting their turn.
