The Tweet To Be Heard Conference, held October 21st-24th was a huge success. The information disseminated was invaluable and all the Social Media Marketers left with many new tools and ideas.
On Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Hotel Villa Veradero all-inclusive resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, the Tweet to be Heard conference ended with a festive happy hour at the open-air bar, followed by a candlelit four course dinner on the beach.

This was to celebrate all that was learned at the conference and network with new friends using Social Media Marketing skills. This activity embraces 21st century technology and marketing skills. The general consensus is it pays off with little effort and not much investment.

Social Media has become a platform which is easily accessible to anyone with Internet access, opening doors for organizations to increase their brand awareness and facilitate conversations with the customer.

Additionally, this media serves as a relatively inexpensive platform for organizations to implement marketing campaigns. Organizations can receive direct feedback from users. The programs center on efforts to create content that attracts attention, generates online conversations and encourages readers to share with their social networks. The message spreads from user to user and resonates because it is coming from a trusted source, as opposed to a brand or company.

Vallarta Escapes has grown into one of the leading agencies in Puerto Vallarta for Vacation Rentals and Real Estate Sales and has long understood the need for a strong online presence, strongly embracing Social Marketing. Qualified instructors teach how to integrate Twitter and Facebook accounts to maximize the attention received and the effectiveness of a campaign.

Groups and classes during the four day conference focused on: Getting Found, The Art of Engagement, Creating a Community, Promotion of your Brand or Service, Viral Marketing, Lead Generation and Twitter/Facebook Integration. Featured speakers were: Trey Pennington and Mirna Bard.

It was announced that the next event will be held on May 5th, 2011. Social Media Marketers in all lines of business are encouraged to attend. Details available at TweetToBeHeard.com.
