Mexico City - Mexican authorities confiscated 14 tons of marijuana inside two semi-tractor trailers parked in Sonora state, the government news agency announced Sunday.

The marijuana was bundled in 322 packages, the Notimex news agency said. The trucks were parked at a property near the city of Puerto Penasco, in northwestern Mexico, about 66 miles (100 kilometers) from the Arizona border, the news outlet said.

No arrests were immediately announced.

Last month, authorities in the Mexican border city of Tijuana seized 134 tons of marijuana.
