Encore Restaurant and Jazz Bar is proud to present Tom Lilienthal and Friends on Sunday, Jan 2, 2011 at 7:30 pm. Come and welcome the new year with this exciting band that will surely get you dancing from your seats.
You will love the songs that they play which will bring back memories from the good old days. When you hear this band play, it will become instantly clear that these guys came to play! They love entertaining you and playing music with each other. This is their passion in life.
Tom Lilienthal (on bass), Bernie Rivera (tenor sax, flute , vocals), Billy Rivera (drums/vocals) and Bill Swartz (guitar/vocals)have been making music together for over thirty-five years in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Also, featuring with the band is Chas Eller on keyboard. From the late 1960’s to the present, they have performed together in a variety of different settings and different bands.
During this time, they also performed independently with other top groups and some of the best musicians that the San Francisco area had to offer. Over the past several decades, these four friends have come to regard each other as brothers through their very close friendship and dedication to their music. This group performs a wide variety of different musical idioms: R&B, R&R, Swing, Latin, Country, and many more.
Showtime is at 7:30 pm until ???. There will be a "voluntary" cover charge. This is a one time show only, so don't miss it! Reserve your seats now and wear your dancing shoes.
