San Pancho IS Open!

December 03, 2010

This short, easy & safe detour will be replaced by the end of 2010 with the new, state-of-the-art bridge.
Geno & Elvia from Calandria Realty in beautiful San Pancho are happy to announce that, with the help of a temporary road across the river, San Pancho is indeed open!

This short, easy & safe detour will be replaced by the end of 2010 with the new, state-of-the-art bridge.

In September, the San Pancho Bridge washed away as a result of the continued rains in Riviera Nayarit. Witnesses say that the flow of water swept several Huanacaxtle trees towards the bridge on Saturday night. The bridge finally caved in after sustaining enormous pressure from the water and debris that continually pushed against it.

The community of San Pancho joined together with work and donations to construct a temporary bridge detour, bringing in layers of sand bags and construction materials.

They hope to see you soon in San Pancho!
