Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - At this time of year, when so many of the restaurants in Puerto Vallarta are closing for the season, or at the least for several weeks, it is nice for those of us who brave the humidity to have a new place to go for an exceptional meal this summer.

Well, not exactly new - but close enough! AmapaSunset Restaurant & Beach Club is under new ownership - and they have big plans that are going to make summertime in Vallarta better than ever!

This popular Playa Los Muertos beachfront restaurant will continue to serve up breakfast, lunch and dinner and fantastic views of Banderas Bay in casually elegant surrounds, but the new menus will be featuring local seafood and sophisticated cuisine at extremely fair prices.

New additions include an Oyster Bar featuring the freshest raw seafood and shellfish from the Bay of Banderas and Northern Baja regions: Oysters, Clams, Mussels and Stone Crabs, as well as King Crab flown in from Alaska.

With its comfortable lounges and casual, yet upscale, atmosphere, AmapaSunset's Beach Club has always been a popular place for locals and tourists to spend a day in the sun - but soon they'll be offering all sorts of fun things to do, like Yoga, Pilates and a variety of water activities.

But that's not all! In addition to the newly revamped dinner menu that will be introduced very soon, special and weekly events are also in the works, like the Fathers' Day Chicago Style Dinner for $350 pesos and an amazing Sunday Brunch for only $100 pesos.
