Punta de Mita, Mexico - It’s no surprise that Punta Mita is a favored place for the private escapes of many celebrities, but its about to serve as the "office" for two top stars, as it makes its way into the movie-making spotlight: Live Punta Mita has an inside scoop that Jodie Foster and Matt Damon are here filming.

These two Hollywood super stars will be visiting Punta Mita in the upcoming days, filming Elysium. An upcoming 2013 American science fiction film written and directed by Neill Blomkamp, Elysium stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and Diego Luna.

Elysium is scheduled to be released on March 1, 2013. Sony Pictures acquired the project, which has an estimated production budget of $120 million. Filming began in July of 2011. Matt and Jodie have been shooting in Mexico for a couple of weeks now, recently shooting at a thermoelectric and industrial zone located in the state of Mexico.

Last weekend the set moved to Punta Mita’s paradise, shooting in one of the area's most stunning beachfront houses. Riviera Partners Realty staff members were in direct contact with the production company, assisting with the scouting process and selection of venues.
