Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Virgin America's inaugural flight from San Francisco, California to Puerto Vallarta will arrive on Friday December 2. The airline, known for modern design and high tech onboard amenities at affordable prices will be flying its Airbus 320 to Vallarta 5 days a week. The flight has capacity for 173 passengers.

Alaska Airlines Site Manager in Puerto Vallarta, Antonio Alvarado, has confirmed that Alaska will continue operating 25 flights per week to Vallarta throughout the season. "The number of flights has not changed, but an increase in the number of passengers has been observed." Flights are reaching their maximum capacity.

Alaska Airlines will continue its three flights a week from San Diego on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as its flights from Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and from its main hub in Seattle.

American Airlines, despite filing for bankruptcy, has stated that it will continue its' flights to Puerto Vallarta.
