Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The 6th Annual Puerto Vallarta Wine Fest is pleased to present a special edition of the event this year to tie in with the upcoming Mexico Tourism Tianguis 2012 to be hosted jointly by Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.

During the festival, sponsored by Casa Madero and Viparmex, you can sample fine wines at wine tastings and food pairing events hosted by participating restaurants and enjoy several wine-related cultural events, including music and dance performances at various locations around town, through March 27, 2012.

2012 Wine Fest Events:

• Dolores San Juan Performance, Malecon Arches, March 23, 8 pm

• ExpoVino, Velas Vallarta, March 24, 1 pm

• Verbena Wine Fest, Lázaro Cardenas Park, March 25, 6 pm

• "Wines of Italy" Keynote Address, Hotel Friendly, March 26, 11 am

These events are open to the general public and admission is free, including the Verbena Wine Fest, traditionally a very popular event, which will include music, performances, wine sales at reduced prices and snacks sold by participating restaurants.

The Festival continues at 21 participating restaurants with wine tastings and food pairing menus at 6:00 pm through March 27, 2012.
