Here are the facts: The greater Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay area’s crime rate is less than half that of Orlando, FL, Las Vegas, NV, and many other popular tourist destinations across the US and Canada.

Puerto Vallarta, México – Finally! A company is taking charge and responding directly to the stream of misleading news reports coming from the media in the United States and Canada. The print ad campaign by Puerto Vallarta based Tropicasa Realty pokes fun at a serious subject while making the statement that Puerto Vallarta and the Banderas Bay area are safe places to live and vacation.

"We see such misleading statements and half-truths coming from the media in the US and Canada, that we had to do something," stated Wayne Franklin, President of Tropicasa Realty. "Yes, Mexico is fighting a war on drugs, but the core violence is a 2-day drive from Vallarta. To lump the entire country into a whole, is not fair. We wanted to help those companies and small shops around Banderas Bay that are being strangled by this misinformation and don’t have the means to respond."

Here are the facts: The greater Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay area’s crime rate is less than half that of Orlando, FL, Las Vegas, NV, and many other popular tourist destinations across the US and Canada. Mexico is a big country with over 113 million people in 32 states. Deciding not to vacation in Vallarta is like not going to Seattle because of violence in Los Angeles. The distance is the same.

Recently named the #1 Mexican destination by US News and World Reports and by TripAdvisor, and the #1 place in the world to retire oversees by AARP, Vallarta is a masterful blend of old-world Mexican charm with a contemporary infrastructure that offers countless activities during the day under the warm sun and an array of nightlife destinations making it the perfect place for your next getaway or for your affordable retirement home.
