San Blas Chef Gives Greece a Taste of Mexico

June 27, 2012

El Delfín's Chef Betty Vazquez

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - In Riviera Nayarit luxury means flavor, and our flavors have captivated the most demanding palates. Chef Betty Vazquez from El Delfín Restaurant in San Blas will travel to Greece to present an exquisite sample of the cuisine that can be found in our destination, and will give it a very special touch.

On June 30, the signature chef of our destination will offer a dinner-buffet at the Corali restaurant at Minoa Palace Resort located in Platanias, minutes from Chania, on the Greek island of Crete.

Betty Vázquez will also present a sampler menu on July 4, where she'll delight some of the most demanding palates in that Mediterranean country, to give them a taste of what international tourists enjoy when they visit us.

"Last year we did some work at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, and we introduced the cuisine of Riviera Nayarit to students. I had the opportunity to meet Yiannis Tsivourakis, the executive chef at Minoa Palace, with whom I worked and shared the forum. After learning about our mutual work, Tsivourakis invited me to do this presentation in Greece, which will not only benefit and promote Riviera Nayarit, but also the entire state and country," declared Chef Vázquez.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau congratulates Betty Vázquez for this important achievement, which will undoubtedly contribute to promote our destination and to attract tourism to Riviera Nayarit, as this is an international recognition to the quality of the cuisine visitors enjoy when they come to Mexico's Pacific Treasure.
