Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - HealthCare Resources and the US Consular Agent are very proud to present Dr. Koeneig as our keynote speaker at this year’s Medical Matters Conference, scheduled to take place on Monday, February 11 from 9 am to 6 pm at the CasaMagna Marriott Resort & Spa in Marina Vallarta.

Dr. Koenig was born in Germany and raised in West Virginia. He attended the University of Florida at Gainesville. After college, he traveled west and fell in love with Southern California. Shortly after his "vacation," he moved to San Diego to work as a holistic health practitioner and personal trainer.

He enjoyed health care so much that he applied to medical school & was accepted to the University of California San Diego for both medical school & residency.

Dr. Koenig graduated in 2005 and is board-certified in Emergency Medicine. He works at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center in the Emergency Department.

Mark’s passions are working, surfing, exercising, socializing and travelling, especially to Puerto Vallarta. He is excited to participate in Medical Matters and meet everyone who had the good sense & courage to move to a very beautiful part of the world.

His morning topic will include: "Skin Issues & Party Time" which will cover general health issues for the aging adult male on skin diseases & cancer and the impact of extensive "recreational partying."

In the afternoon, his presentation will focus on prostate health and specific issues affecting the gay man, as well as signs, symptoms and treatments of STD’s. (Please see the Speakers Schedule for times and salon location.)
