We are very proud of our HealthCare Resources physicians. They are bi-lingual, professional, caring and all-around great human beings! We have 26 physicians to choose from. We also encourage you to establish yourself with a physician (if you live here full time). If you have a medical emergency and go to an emergency room, then you must be sure to tell the Emergency Room who your physician is. For example: If Dra. Leslie Swindle is your cardiologist and you go to an Emergency Room with chest pain, BE SURE to tell them she is your cardiologist!

For those that have headed North for the summer months, please be sure and do your due diligence and plan ahead for your return. Don’t wait until the last minute to look into traveler’s insurance. HealthCare Resources does not sell insurance but we do work with some excellent representatives from various companies. Email me for details.

Summer Stuff!

The temperature is starting to rise! If you have never purchased/used a "Cooling Tie," you should! They are wonderful items that are filled with a special gel and when wet, expand and keep your neck (and body!) cool for hours! You can email me for further information and as well, you can see them at the Saturday Market Co-op. (More info on this below.)

Are you here all summer? Or most of the summer? Would you like to be on a "special" email list of various summer activities? We are putting together some fun activities – from "How to Make Summer Appetizers" to "How to Make a Piñata" (only a few of the topics!) We’d love to have you participate, so send me an email and I’ll put you on the Summer Fun List! And as in the past summers, I’ll start doing the "Let’s Cool Off & Go To the Movies" on a weekly basis.

Saturday Market Co-op - This is the market that stays open every single Saturday, regardless of the time of year! Purchase your vegetables, Hacienda Jalisco Coffee, yummy baked goods, jewelry, T-shirts, Aprons – all kind of wonderful goodies! 9 am until 1 pm. Location: Paradise Community Center – Pulpito #127, on the South side of Puerto Vallarta.

MailBoxes, Etc. will begin their summer hours on April 1. They will be open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. They continue to provide shipping and receiving services, mail services using the United States Postal Service, custom packing, courier services, printing and design, Internet and copying services, office and packing supplies, etc! Let them know how they can help you! Check out their book exchange! What a variety. And I am always in need of magazines (for patients, waiting rooms) – you can drop these off with them. Do you live in the Northern Banderas Bay? Contact them with questions for mail service there.

Do you have questions about health care in the area? Would you like to sit down and have a chat about anything health-care related? I am more than happy to do this with you! Let’s schedule an appointment and have a one-on-one meeting!

It has been a whirlwind "high season" – and a good one! HealthCare Resources stays busy year-round and please know that we are here to assist you in any way possible for all of your health care needs. From physician referrals to emergency services, just let us know.

We hope that you will remember those less fortunate than we are! We are continually in need of: • Baby (receiving) blankets • school supplies • powdered infant formula • newborn "onsies" • craft supplies • basketballs • English teaching materials. Please email me for further details.

Here’s to a very joyful and healthy spring!
