Based on reported 2012 results, Mexico, as one of the busiest destinations for Canadian tourism, is expecting to receive more than 2 million Canadian visitors this year. Yvonne Chin, Consul of Canada in Guadalajara, said her nation has become a very important market for Mexico, since in recent years, the influx of Canadians has increased considerably. She noted that 1 million 600 thousand visitors visited the country in 2011, increased to 1 million 800 thousand in 2012, and could exceed 2 million for 2013.
