Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - More than 53,000 backpacks filled with school supplies are ready to be delivered to Puerto Vallarta public school students on August 21, thanks to the "Advancing Students" program.

This program, which is 100% funded by municipal resources, the City Council, through the Social Development Department, supports the families of Vallarta by providing students with all of the tools their children will need this coming school year.

The packages are consistent to the supply list for each grade at 38 kindergartens, 108 primary and 31 secondary schools throughout the municipality.

Therefore, the "Advancing Students" program will supply 9,583 preschool students with a backpack, a pliable dough (e.g., Play-Doh), a watercolor set with 12 colors, a paint brush, a box of modeling plasticine, and scissors.

At the elementary level, 30,242 packages, divided into two groups, the first one for 1st and 2nd year students, will be delivered. The remaining 13,500 + school supply packages will be presented to the city's secondary school students.
