Fourth International LGBT Business Expo Starts Today!

June 12, 2014

The Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit edition of the LGBT Confex International LGBT Business Expo starts today at the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa, and runs through June 14, 2014.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - The fourth International LGBT Business Expo, presented by LGBT Confex, starts at the Marriott CasaMagna Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa today and runs through June 14, 2014.

The leading expo for businesses interested in targeting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender consumer, an estimated 6% of the Latin America travel market share, the three-day event has grown rapidly since it's inaugural event in 2011, which was held in Puerto Vallarta and featured 20 exhibitors and 6 presenters.

"We started from very modest beginnings back in 2011. We were a much smaller event back then so we are really excited to bring a much bigger event back to Puerto Vallarta for this, our fourth year. We are already working hard to create the world's best LGBT business event for our home city and, based on the results achieved during our first three years, we look forward to building success which will benefit Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and the whole Latin America region," said LGBT Confex CEO & President, Ruben Sandoval.

For 2014, the LGBT Business Expo has confirmed the participation of 36 speakers and 108 exhibitors, including representatives of companies and organizations such as the Human Rights Campaign, Out & Equal, Google Mexico, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB, to name a few.

The largest group of representatives will be the travel industry with destinations such as Las Vegas, San Francisco, Puerto Rico, Fort Lauderdale, Berlin, and the Czech Republic leading the way, along with the corporate offices of the Hard Rock Hotel and Marriott International. Mexican Tour Operators DiverCity and Leemba Travel will also be participating this year.

Others taking part in the expo include Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Las Alamandas Resort, Pink Banana Media, AMResorts, Casa Velas Hotel Boutique, Anticavilla Hotel, The Palm at Playa, and more.

The LGBT consulting and marketing company, Out Now Global, will also be returning to present the latest results of LGBT2020, the largest international study of its kind.

All of this year's LGBT Business Expo participants will be involved in seminars, workshops, conferences and exhibitions that will define the LGBT business agenda across the Latin American region for the next year - and into the future.
