Mexico Travel Channel to Showcase Puerto Vallarta

go to original
July 10, 2014

In addition to the city's lodging and culinary scenes, footage was filmed throughout the Pacific Coast beach vacation destination to create a 5 episode series that promotes the many attractions of Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The production team of TV's Mexico Travel Channel recently spent 5 days filming in Puerto Vallarta, as part of the Rincones de Mi Tierra ("Corners of My Land") project that will soon be broadcast online and on the national pay-TV channel.

With the support of Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board's Public Relations department, a team led by Humberto Urban shot footage at local Gran Turismo (5-star) hotels, including the Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa, CasaMagna Marriott, Fiesta Americana, and Villa Premier Hotel & Spa, among other locations in this popular beach vacation destination.

The production crew also visited many of Vallarta's fine dining restaurants, where they filmed the preparation of various dishes by some of the city's top chefs, including Thierry Blouet of Café des Artistes, Bernhard Guth of Trio restaurant, and Daniel Perez of La Palapa; and conducted an intriguing interview with Chef Ulf Henrikkson of Vitea restaurant.

In addition to the city's lodging and culinary scenes, the following footage was filmed to create a 5 episode series that promotes Puerto Vallarta:

1. An overview of Puerto Vallarta as a destination venue, highlighting its attractions.

2. The culture of Puerto Vallarta (art galleries, museum, Malecón, sculptures, food)

3. Adventures in the Sierra Madre (canopy, rappel)

4. Aquatic Adventures (diving, snorkeling, stand up paddle, flyboard)

5. Puerto Vallarta Lifestyles (hotels, spas, restaurants and nightlife)

The footage will also be used to produce three 2-minute videos focusing on Puerto Vallarta in general, Vallarta diving, and adventure in Vallarta, which will be featured on rinconesdemitierra.com.

The first TV episodes are scheduled to be aired on Mexico Travel Channel during the first few weeks of August. Stay tuned for more information as more details are made available.
