HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta August Clinics

August 11, 2014

For all of your Puerto Vallarta medical needs contact Pamela Thompson at (322) 222-9638, 044-322-107-7007, pamela(at)healthcareresourcespv.com

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - It's hard to believe that it is August already. We're zipping through these extra-hot summer months and our snowbirds will be returning soon! The next couple of months we will be focusing on putting together some new clinics, speakers programs and activities for the fall/winter months.

I'd like to ask you to take a few moments and send some ideas and suggestions as to what YOU would like to see HealthCare Resources offer. We will return to our regular "Hot Topic Mondays" speakers programs and we need some ideas! We look forward to hearing from you.

In September, there will be no clinics. We're going to rest a bit! It is also the month to focus on preparing & organizing. I've gotten far behind on my blog posts and I am working on some good ones (I think). You can go to the blog to sign up and receive new articles directly to your inbox!

August/September is a BIT "slower" for us (but not so much as in the past!) and is a good time to schedule a one-on-one with us to go over general healthcare information in the area. To schedule, just send an email to pamela(at)healthcareresourcespv.com

August Clinics

All of our clinics are screening clinics. No procedures are performed at the time of the clinic appointment. If you would like to participate or have questions, please send an email to pamela(at)healthcareresourcespv.com stating which clinic and a preferred time. You will receive your appointment and detailed information. Note: Our clinic prices have not risen in nearly five years. Some of the clinic prices will increase slightly October 1, 2014.

Notes on This and That

Insurance! Don't leave home without it! Whether you need a good travelers insurance for your months here in the area or if you live here full time, it is important to have the proper medical coverage. Please email us for information.

Please remember! If you need a receipt for a consult, medical service you must ask for it at the time of service! I've spent a lot of time this summer attempting to obtain receipts for services people received months ago.

Colonoscopy, Endoscopy – ongoing with discounted prices.

Complete Men's and Women's check ups – ongoing.

Do you need to lose a few pounds? Are you diabetic? We have our own dietician/nutritionist who is also a Diabetic Education Specialist. She is tri-lingual and absolutely wonderful!

Are you interested in Bariatric Surgery? Contact me for information! Plastic surgery as well! As stated above, we are working the next couple of months on planning/scheduling for "high season."

We are happy to meet with your group/condo association to speak on a wide variety of topics (no charge for this service). Especially important for condo associations is what to do in an emergency; who to call, where to go, information for your staff. Please contact me for further information and to schedule.

We are always in need of the following items: Hotel size soaps, shampoos, lotions, any type of medical supplies (bandages, antibiotic creams, etc.) Also, regular size bars of soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste. School supplies including pencil boxes, crayons, color books, rulers, erasers, colored pencils. For newborns (for Regional Hospital) receiving blankets, booties, caps and "onsies." Thank you so much!

If you would like information on the PLUS program, please email for information.

HealthCare Resources has contracts with 25 physicians, of all specialties. We are very proud of our physicians who are bi-lingual, professional and caring. As well, we now have an immune disease specialist – which is new!

Did you know that in the United States, an "email consult" with a physician is a chargeable item? Please remember that your physician is not obligated to answer an email from you and we urge you not to do this. You can email Healthcare Resources who can take care of your questions with your physician. Emails and text messages to physicians have gotten out of hand!

We hope that wherever you are in these summer months, you are having a wonderful time! We are excited and looking forward to a great "high season" with many new items to offer.

You can find us on Facebook at HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta, right here on Banderas News, and the blog mentioned above. Feel free to send this newsletter on to anyone that you think might be interested.

Happy August!
