Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - In preparation for the coming 'High Season,' the Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureaus recently spent three days in Minneapolis, Minnesota familiarizing travel agents from different regions of the United States with all of the activities and amenities this destination has to offer its visitors.

This tourism promotional meeting, now in it's 20th year, was hosted by MLT Vacations, one of the largest tour operators in the United States with worldwide coverage.

During the conference, representatives from tour and travel companies in 15+ U.S. states, more than 2000 travel agents, were trained and updated on the Vallarta-Nayarit joint promotional campaign.

MLT Vacations introduced the destination by saying, "Rich in history, culture, nature, sand and sun, Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit have become the fastest growing destinations in Mexico. In this region, you can explore the charm of Old Mexico seaside, and/or enjoy all the wonderful activities on land, such as horseback riding on mountain trails and discovering the jungle and its hidden waterfalls."

A large number of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit hotels participated in the trade show. When agents stopped at the booth assigned to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit to collect promotional material, several of them said they already have guaranteed reservations for the upcoming winter season, having booked individuals as well as groups and weddings.

On September 23rd, MLT Vacations announced the Banderas Bay area hotels that had earned their "2014 Quality Assurance" awards. Among the winners were: Crown Paradise Golden Puerto Vallarta, Dreams Villa Magna, Meliá Puerto Vallarta, Now Amber Puerto Vallarta, Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta, Riu Vallarta and Riu Palace Pacifico.
