Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Meet physicians, ask questions, learn about local labs and diagnostic centers, hospitals – any and every thing to do with your health and well-being - during the 5th Annual Puerto Vallarta Medical Matters Conference at the Marriott CasaMagna Resort on February 9, 2015, from 9 am to 5 pm.

HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta, The US Consular Agency, the Hotel Marriott and Sharp Hospitals are proud to be hosting some very distinguished physicians as featured speakers at this year's Medical Matters Conference, including:

Dr. Hector Escoto - Born in San Juan de Los Lagos, a small town near Guadalajara, Dr. Escoto attended medical school at the University of Guadalajara and performed his specialty in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery at Hospital Civil in Guadalajara. He moved to Puerto Vallarta in 2005 and since then, has been working in these areas, attending patients related to his field. His biggest concerns are making sure he provides the best medical attention to his patients and keeping updated in the newsest medical treatments and surgical procedures. Dr. Escoto will be speaking on "DVT: What You Need to Know" at 11:00 am in Salon V1-V111.

Dr. Siavash Jabbari - The Director of Clinical Operations at the Doug and Nancy Barnhart Cancer Center at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, Dr. Jabbari earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Jabbari has published numerous research studies and book chapters on a wide range of cancers and cancer treatments and serves as an editorial reviewer for such publications. He has served as an invited expert speaker for media interviews and medical conferences. He says "Since medical school, I have found caring for cancer patients and their families is not only humbling and deeply satisfying experience, but also a tremendous privilege. I specifically chose radiation oncology because of its critical role in winning the war against cancer, as well as its ability to maintain and improve patients quality of life." He will be speaking on "Cutting Edge Cancer Care: Radiosurgery and Radiation Therapy" at 10:00 am and 12:00 noon in Salon V1-V111.

Note: We suggest that you visit each speaker at their exhibit to ask questions and obtain further information, not at the talk. This is so we can continue to run on time.

No pre-registration or reservations are required for the talks, just look for the Medical Matters Volunteers, who will direct you to the various salons.

For a detailed description on more speakers and their topics, keep checking this page on BanderasNews.com. As the date draws nearer, we'll be publishing complete bios on all of the speakers and further details on their talks.
