7-Eleven Mexico Launches New Virtual Currency

go to original
April 1, 2015

Nuevo Leon, Mexico - 7-Eleven Mexico is launching their own virtual currency as part of a new marketing strategy aimed at building its online presence.

The currency is called "Big Coins," and it was announced by 7-Eleven Mexico earlier this week. The Big Coins initiative is a customer loyalty program in which people will be rewarded with coins by logging into the company's social blog and reading, sharing, and commenting on posts.

The goal with this program is to encourage interactions between 7-Eleven Mexico and its customers through the company's mobile app and social website, social.7-eleven.com.mx.

Big Coins are kept in a wallet, and can currently only be used for certain products and promotion. However, 7-Eleven Mexico is looking for ways to implement virtual currency in its physical stores.
