Mother's Day at Vallarta Botanical Gardens

Instead of buying Mom a bouquet for Mother's Day, why not surround her with some of the region's and the country's most beautiful plants and flowering trees - from culinary delights such as vanilla vines and chocolate trees to ornamental wonders like stately palms and vibrantly colored orchids - at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens? After your exploration, climb the commemorative tiled stairs to Hacienda de Oro Taberna to take in the view and the cool breezes as you enjoy a special Mother's Lunch that includes: Hibiscus Flower Iced Tea with unlimited refills or 1 other non-alcoholic beverage; your choice of a Garlic-Seared Fish Fillet or Chicken Fajitas wrapped in hoja santa leaf; and Rice Pudding with milk garnished with vanilla bean and cinnamon for only $299 pesos (+ gratuities) per person. Price includes admission to the Gardens and a little surprise gift for all mothers! For more information, call (322) 223-6182 or visit vbgardens.org.

Amigos de La Cruz Need Your Help

Amigos de La Cruz is looking for a volunteer membership coordinator. It doesn't take a lot of time, all that's needed is to maintain a list of paid members, contact members who need to renew, attend our many fun and rewarding Amigos functions (now that's a hardship!) and help to spread the word about the benefits of membership. While it's super if you're here full time, you don't need to be. Anyone who winters here can do the job. If communication is necessary during the summer - we have email. Being involved with the Amigos is a super fun way to get to know the community, make new friends and give a little back to the place we know and love as our home, be it winter, summer, or year-round. For more information, send an email to lacruzamigos(at)gmail.com.
