Southwest Offering Daily Denver-PVR Direct Flights

go to original
November 4, 2015

Three of the four new direct flights to the Puerto Vallarta International Airport are operated by Southwest Airlines, meaning the airline now connects most of the United States with Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - What began with a letter of intent in April is today a reality: on Sunday, November 1, 2015, a Southwest Airlines daily direct flight made its maiden voyage from Denver to the Vallarta-Nayarit International Airport.

This is the fourth inaugural flight this year for Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit; it's the airline's third flight to the region.

"We're very happy to continue to send in flights," commented Robert Robles, Southwest Airline's Mexico GM. "We just began service in June and we've been received with open arms and want to continue growing in this market."

Southwest is the airline with the most clients in Denver, where they operate 185 direct flights to and from 58 destinations.

Denver is a large city that offers plenty of connections to other American cities, as is the case in Houston and Orange County. These are three flights that together give Southwest Airlines the possibility to bring in passengers to this region from just about anywhere in the United States.

The Southwest flight from Orange County was inaugurated five months ago, and the executive commented the three new frequencies have had an excellent response thanks to the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta being ideal destinations for what their U.S. clients are seeking.

The new flight departs Denver at 8:45 am and arrives at 1:15 pm, returning at 2:10 pm with a 4:30 pm arrival. The plane carries 143 passengers; the November 1st inaugural flight arrived with 125 passengers.

The fourth international flight that completes the 2015 list is the Alaska Airlines flight from Orange County.
