Federal Agents Seize Guns, Ammo Heading to Mexico

Officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized a shipment of tactical weapons and ammunition that was being smuggled into Mexico. The illegal shipment was found by CBP officers at the Port of Nogales on March 27, according to a statement from CBP officials obtained by Breitbart Texas. The discovery was made as two people attempted to cross through the port of entry located south of Tucson, Arizona. A woman from Phoenix was driving a Ford SUV. She was accompanied by a man who was later identified as a U.S. citizen who is living in Mexico. During the outbound inspection, officers became suspicious and asked the driver to move the vehicle to a secondary inspection station, the CBP statement revealed. During the secondary inspection, officers discovered two "tactical rifles," rifle components, and 3,000 rounds of ammunition. The two individuals were arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations, a division of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The vehicle and the contraband were seized as well.

Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau's Celebrity Watch

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau's Celebrity Watch recently spotted four big movie and music industry stars in the area. The first to arrive was Kellan Lutz from the Twilight saga. He stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta in Nuevo Vallarta for four days accompanied by his girlfriend, during which time they took advantage of the natural beauty of the Riviera Nayarit for a photo shoot. The news quickly spread through the international media. US website TMZ published photographs of Halle Berry on the beach at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, which was confirmed by the uniforms of the hotel's beach staff. The actress was accompanied by ex husband Olivier Martinez and their two children. Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer also visited the Four Seasons and published it on social media, thanking everyone for his stay. Hot Miami singer-songwriter Jason Derulo stayed at Casa Aramara in Punta Mita. He shared a photo of himself enjoying the beach of Punta Mita on his Twitter account, where he has more than 3.6 million followers. Last but not least, Mekel Herrera—ex vocalist for Ragazzi—enjoyed a stay at the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit with his girlfriend Giovanna Salazar, winner of Nuestra Belleza Colima 2015. Herrera is currently president of the Professional Polo Association of Mexico and is Mexico's Tourism Ambassador, as well as being among the top 500 most influential entrepreneurs in Mexico.

FREE Spay/Neuter Clinic on Isla Cuale, April 3

PuRR Project is sponsoring the next FREE Spay/Neuter Clinic on the Isla Cuale on Sunday, April 3rd. We will have volunteers there registering animals starting at 7:00 am and will take up to 60 cats and dogs for sterilization. The Clinic is held in the Cultural Center area on the upper-most end of the island, just by the suspension bridge. The animal should have no food or water for 8 hours before surgery. Donations of dog collars & leashes and all sizes of pet carriers are appreciated, and can be dropped off at the clinic that morning or at Daiquiri Dick's from 9:30-1:00 on Saturday. NEEDED: A VERY SPECIAL FOREVER HOME. Those of you who have visited the Purr Project adoption booth at Daiquiri Dick's the last few weeks have met Sugar, an absolutely gorgeous white fluff ball with the most beautiful big blue eyes. Sugar is about 8 months old and has a personality which matches her name. We need a very special forever home for this little love because, as with most all-white, blue-eyed cats, she's deaf. Since she is unable to hear cars, dogs and other scary things, she'll need to stay inside a safe, loving home. If you're interested in being Sugar's forever family, please email info(at)purrproject.com.
