Community Service Brigade

The Centro Universitario de la Costa has the honor of inviting the Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit communities to the first "Brigades University CUCosta," headed by municipal and university authorities, on Saturday, February 11, 2017.

Community Service Brigade is an itinerant university program that will be held once a month in a different community in the greater Puerto Vallarta area. The University will offer health care, legal advice, self-construction of public housing, psychological health, nutritional, financial and accounting services, and physical fitness.

The Brigades will help disadvantaged communities in the region; University teachers, social service providers and UdG CUCosta students will be there to help.

The program's goal is to show the university's commitment to social equity and improving the living conditions of the socially disadvantaged by putting at their disposal some basic services in addition to those provide by various public institutions. The program also seeks to create a greater social awareness among students at the Puerto Vallarta campus.

This first community brigade will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Main Plaza of Tomatlan, Jalisco. For more information, please contact CUCosta Extension Coordinator, Mtra. Maria Guadalupe Gomez Basulto, at (322) 226-2263 Ext 66263.
