Breast Cancer Awareness Events in Puerto Vallarta

October 2, 2017

As we work together to promote awareness, honor breast cancer survivors and remember those that lost the fight, we hope that you will participate in Healthcare Resources Puerto Vallarta's October activities.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same.

As we work together as a community to promote awareness, honor breast cancer survivors and remember those that lost the fight, we hope that you will participate in Healthcare Resources Puerto Vallarta's October activities. All of these no-charge events are going to be educational, informative, delicious - and pink! And remember, these events are not just for ladies – men are more than welcome since men can, and do, get breast cancer as well.

On Friday, October 6th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, Hospital San Javier Marina will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a Pink Wave Cocktail. Come enjoy pink cocktails and wine, snacks both sweet and savory, raffle drawings for some lovely prizes, plenty of pink ribbons and more. Grab a partner, pal, spouse or neighbor and please stop by. And we hope you will wear something pink!

Next up is an Ice Cream Social on October 16 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Vallarta Medical Center, Av de Los Tules #138 (on the south side of Plaza Caracol). Let's have some pink ice cream with toppings! Dr. Guillermo Ramos will be available to chat about breast health, along with Dra. Claudia de Moral, our breast specialist. Seriously, who doesn't like ice cream?

On Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, we invite you to join us for a Pink Brunch at the brand new, state-of-the-art Diagnostic Integral Vallarta, hosted by Dra. Claudia deMoral, our stellar radiologist and breast specialist, and Dr. Jose Riva Palacio, radiologist in charge. Located at Av Francisco Villa #1389 (a couple of blocks north of Costco, west side of the street), DIV features the brand new, state of the art digital mammogram machine with tomosynthesis. As well, the beautiful breast imaging center features a private waiting area along with many other outstanding features. Enjoy a light brunch along with a mimosa, visit the new facilities and learn how this fascinating machine functions. Low-radiation and low pressure during the study as well.

We hope you will participate in these events! They are all at no charge because we feel it is vitally important to promote knowledge and awareness. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me at pamela(at)healthcareresourcespv.com.
