In celebration of el Día de los Muertos, local poet and writer Wendy Brown and her friends will be sharing their original and bilingual poems along with traditional "Versos de Calaveras" at Sol y Luna ~ Arte sin Fronteras on October 25th and 27th.

In addition, Galería Sol y Luna will also be presenting a special Día de los Muertos Art Exhibition this week, featuring paintings and photography by local, National and International artists and a once-in-a-lifetime Altar de Muertos & art installation by the talented and multi-faceted local artist Hector Ponce Jimenez.

In honor of our dear ones that have passed on to a better world, Jimenez brings a twist to the traditional Altar de Muertos, rescuing the Prehispanic offerings before passing into the Colonial influences and leaping into the Modern World.

Don't miss these unique artistic and cultural events! The free poetry performances will be held on Wednesday, October 25th and Friday the 27th at 6 pm. The Día de los Muertos Art Exhibit and Altar will be inaugurated on Wednesday 25th at 5 pm, and remain on display until October 31st.
