Puerto Vallarta - Galeria Sol y Luna ~ Arte sin Fronteras invites you to celebrate the Spirit of Christmas as they present the opening of their holiday art exhibition, “Heaven on Earth” on December 1st at 6 pm.

In a time of turmoil, fear, and uncertainty in many places of our planet, we feel blessed to not only live in the peaceful town of Puerto Vallarta, but also to be surrounded by spectacular artistic creations to emphasize that this is the season of making a difference and Shining the Light!

With the abundance of talent expressed in the artwork of the artists represented at this popular Puerto Vallarta art gallery, you will be able to appreciate the incredible ways they show their spirituality in the beauty of Christmas.

The whimsical paintings of Lena Bartula, the mystical beings captured in the canvases of Roberto Lopez Ramirez, and the classical iconic paintings of Luis Yedra that depict some of the most worshiped Saints and Virgins, are just part of this collective show.

This extraordinary art exhibit also offers you the chance to enjoy a collection of contemporary paintings of Sacred images by Amador Toscano or feel a connection with Pre-Colombian and Criollo cultures as interpreted in the paintings of Hector Ponce.

The Madonnas of Enrique Huerta are illuminated in a classical Spanish style. Unique photographic compositions of Angels by Jose Luis Bueno and demure Virgins photographed by Xavier Gonzz bring heavenly images.

To add a human touch, the exhibit also features the poetic terracota hearts by Rafael Miranda San Juan. And what would Christmas be without the finely rendered paintings of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe or the Angel San Miguel, the Angel who protect our Hearts, as perfectly depicted by the talented Arturo Garcia?

In keeping with the holiday spirit, Galeria Sol y Luna will be donating 15% of all proceeds from the Heaven on Earth exhibition to “El Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza,” a non-profit shelter for Banderas Bay area babies and children under the age of 14 who have been abused, neglected, or simply abandoned.

We have visited R.I.S.E. and it filled our hearts to see the love and care these children are provided with. We are honored to contribute to this wonderful organization and show our support for all of their hard work to make a better life for these special children.

As part of the Heaven on Earth Art Exhibition, come and experience a new form of poetry! Pick a Poem at random from the Poet’s jar, and watch it come alive with performance poet Wendy Brown.

Be sure to stop by Sol y Luna ~ Arte sin Fronteras, at Lazaro Cardenas 230, on December 1st from 6 to 10 pm for the opening night of this wonderful art exhibition.
