Bucerias Christmas Happenings

Shoppers on the lookout for some fabulous Christmas dιcor and gifts are in luck! The Second Annual Beta Sigma Phi Christmas Bazaar and Poinsettia Sale is a great chance to do some shopping while benefiting a local charity.
Just stop by Lazaro Cardenas #52 in Bucerias on Saturday, December 2nd between 10 am and 2 pm Jalisco time for a great selection of hand made Christmas gifts, home baked goodies and live poinsettias. All proceeds benefit The School for Exceptional Children in Bucerias (Centro de Atencion Multiple No. 12.)
The Bucerias Children's Library will be holding their annual Welcome Back to Bucerias party on Monday, December 4, 2006 from 6-9 pm (Jalisco) at Condonimino Adriana, Benito Juarez #18 in Bucerias. For a minimum donation of $100 Pesos per person, you'll enjoy appetizers, wine, beer, soft drinks, live music and door prizes. For more information call Rita at (329) 298-1263.
On Sunday, Nov. 26th, there will be a charity auction at Karen's Place beginning at 4:00 p.m. Household items and other things will be auctioned. Donation of items can be made at Karen's, The Shamrock Irish Pub and Lloyd's office in Bucerias or Marina.
Proceeds will go to the Bucerias Children's Shelter, the Special Needs School and play equipment for schools. They also hope to provide specialized medical care for children where necessary. For further information, call Rita Bell at (329) 298-1322.

Arlene and Ron Tackett are busily preparing for another successful Christmas Program. Each year, they and an army of elves bring Christmas joy to boys and girls in Bucerias. What started out as their own personal effort to hand out toys has evolved into a wonderfully large event.
Last Christmas Eve, close to 800 kids were recipients of toys from "Santa Ron." If you'd like to help them, they can use donations of money, toys, candy and help with the wrapping and candy bagging.
