ICF Reception in Vallarta, January 30th
email this pageprint this pageemail usPVNN

The International Community Foundation seeks to increase charitable giving and volunteerism across U.S. borders to benefit overseas communities and non-profit organizations.
Dear Vallarta Ex-Pat:

On behalf of the International Community Foundation (ICF,) I am writing to invite you to an evening briefing and cocktail reception to introduce you to our foundation and to explore ways that we can work together to improve the quality of life in Puerto Vallarta by expanding the level of U.S. charitable giving to qualified nonprofits in your community.

The briefing and reception is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, 2007 from 6:30 pm. to 8:30 pm. at the Melía Puerto Vallarta, Paseo de la Marina Sur #7, Puerto Vallarta.

Established in 1990, ICF is a San Diego, California based public foundation committed to expanding the level of philanthropy and volunteerism among U.S. donors internationally by supporting communities and nonprofits overseas.

Collectively, ICF represents a community of over 1000 U.S. individuals, companies, and foundations that wish to legally make tax deductible charitable contributions to support non-U.S. nonprofits. Last year, ICF made grants totaling $3.5 million, with the majority of our grantmaking directed to nonprofits along the Baja California peninsula.

With the growing American community on the mainland of Mexico and, in particular, Puerto Vallarta, ICF believes that our foundation can play an important catalytic role towards providing the U.S. expatriates with a legal vehicle to make charitable gifts to Vallarta based nonprofits. We are also well positioned to identify other state-side U.S. donors who travel to Vallarta frequently and who share similar passions for making PV a better place to visit, play through their philanthropy.

To confirm your participation for this upcoming reception, please RSVP to Connie Tooker via email at connie@icfdn.org or by calling (858) 677-2913 from the US.

To learn more about the International Community Foundation and the various projects that we support, please visit our web site at www.icfdn.org. Our annual report can be accessed HERE.
