To register your dog, contact a local veterinarian or the Centro de Acopio Animal at (322) 293-3690, from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4-7 pm. Tickets cost 25 pesos for adults and 10 pesos for kids.
Get ready for the III annual Puerto Vallarta Dog Show on February 24 and 25 at the Estadio Municipal Agustin Flores Contreras. Whether you have a leashed best friend that can compete, or just want to enjoy a day of food, refreshments and a whole lot of dogs, there will be something for everyone. Best of all, it’s for a good cause.

The “Gran Perroton” is a charity event to raise funds for Puerto Vallarta's Animal Control Shelter. Proceeds will pay for sterilizations of the pets of low-income families, improvements to the Shelter and promotions of responsible pet ownership in the community.

This edition of the dog show features an agility, obedience and circus trick show by Vallardance. There will be competition classes for the most beautiful, most obedient, funniest, mixed-breed, costumed and most-like-owner pooch. Registration in each class costs $150 pesos, and both days will run a full 10 am to 6 pm schedule.

To register your dog, contact a local veterinarian or the Centro de Acopio Animal at (322) 293-3690, from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4-7 pm. The organizers (Patronato de Control de Mascotas y Fauna Silvestre) warn all owners that dogs must be firmly on leads and that all aggressive dogs will be denied entrance.

Tickets cost 25 pesos for adults and 10 pesos for kids.
