Mama Dolores Goes Bananas!
email this pageprint this pageemail usPVNN

On March 7th, Mama Dolores was rockin' rollin' and raisin' pesos for the Alfredo V. Bonfil Primary School at Banana Cantina's Local Celebrity Night. To make your reservations, or to learn more about upcoming FUNdraisers at Banana Cantina, call 222-2114 or send an email to PVbananacantina@aol.com.

According to Banana Cantina restaurant owners Debbi & Mike Egan, "Local Celebrity Nights just keep getting better and better!"

Every Wednesday night the restaurant not only hosts a celebrity guest, whose goal is to raise money for their favorite local charity, but also donates 10% of the night's dinner sales to the chosen charity.

Last November, Mama Dolores made her first celebrity guest appearance at Banana Cantina raising $2140 pesos for the Alfredo V. Bonfil School, which together with funds raised the previous week by Tim Longpré of Puerto Vallarta Rentals Premier Vacations (PVRPV.com) were used to purchase windows for three classrooms!

On March 7th, due to the high demand of her loyal followers, Mama Dolores made an encore appearance - and oh baby, what a night it was!

Mama showed up in her green and red outfit, complete with fiber optic boa, which she wore especially to match the restaurant colors, and she didn't stop! The room rocked and rolled with laughter from her never-ending jokes and personal comments about what the guests were eating.

And once again, the Alfredo V. Bonfil School will benefit from Mama's antics - to the tune of $5950 pesos! They need a new roof and these funds, along with the check Tim Longpré of PVRPV presented to them a week ago, should do it!

If it turns out that we haven't raised enough funds for the school's new roof, we'll add to the pot on March 28th, when Gary Beck, the author of the Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Guide, will join us in our efforts to raise the funds - and the roof!

Stop by Banana Cantina on Wednesday nights from 7-11 pm for Local Celebrity Night. You'll enjoy a fun-filled night of great food and friends for a good cause! Together We Can Make A Difference!

Located on the corner of Pulpito and Amapas, in the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta, Banana Cantina boasts a totally unique menu featuring creative Contemporary Mexican Cuisine and International dishes and an eclectic ambiance created by a colorful, yet comfortable, decor.

To make your reservations, or to learn more about this month's Local Celebrity Night at Banana Cantina, call 222-2114 or send an email to PVbananacantina@aol.com. For more information about the restaurant, visit BananaCantina.com.
