AMPI Cruise a Sell Out
email this pageprint this pageemail usJohn Glaab - CIPS

Usually the Association of Mexican Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) holds its Congreso (Annual Conference) in one specific city. Tied in with this is a tour of the local real estate market. This year a new twist has been added, an ocean cruise.

At the end of October, a group of members form NAR (The National Association of Realtors®) will converge for an eight-day cruise of the Mexican Riviera. Stops will be made at Mexico's "hot spots" for real estate, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.

AMPI President Mario Aviles commented, "We are pleased that we will be able to showcase three of Mexico's top markets to our members and visitors from NAR®."

Michael Schaible, a past president of AMPI Los Cabos, said, "We are pleased that the cruise will stop in Los Cabos. We will be prepared to show our best investments."

AMPI's 36th annual conference will take place aboard Carnival Cruise Line's ship, the Carnival Pride. A series of educational programs including, "Doing Business in Mexico" and the Transnational Certification class will be offered. The latter is a system for making sure that commissions are paid to those dealing in the international arena.

The association will hold business meetings, including the election of officers for the coming year. A decision will also be made as to the site for the Conference in 2008. It will be a hard act to follow. It will all end with a closing dinner and grand ball.
John Glaab has been a member of NAR's International Section for over a decade. He has earned the Certified International Property Specialist designation and is a founding member of AMPI Los Cabos. He spends half the year in La Paz, Baja California Sur and the other half in Uruapan, Michoacan. For further information, contact John at John.Glaab@settlement-co.com.
