Puerto Vallarta - Tropicasa Realty is pleased to announce that María Elizabeth O'Connor has joined their team as General Counsel - adding yet another element of security for Tropicasa clients and experience to the Tropicasa name.
María comes to Tropicasa from the prestigious Guadalajara-based law firm Robles, Lazo y Gallardo, S.C. after opening the firm's Vallarta office in 2003. For the last four years, María has been at the forefront of the legal community providing an important service for foreign and Mexican real estate clients alike.
Prior to joining RLG, María was the in-house attorney for the construction and development division of the Playa del Sol Group, joining them in 1998. Her experience in this area gives her a particularly keen insight on preconstruction and development projects.
Maria fell in love with Puerto Vallarta in 1986 and after finishing her undergraduate work and law school, she moved here permanently from Chicago seventeen years ago. After mastering the Spanish language, María got her degree from the Centro de Estudios Universitarios ARKOS in Vallarta, specializing in real estate, corporate and foreign investment law.
