Len and Larry will guest host Local Celebrity Charity Night at Banana Cantina on Wednesday, April 9th - and they've come up with a whole new way to raise money for R.I.S.E. that'll give you instant gratification for supporting a good cause.

Puerto Vallarta - Plan now to have dinner at Banana Cantina on Wednesday, April 9th, and you'll experience a new kind of fun, while supporting a great local charity.

All during the evening, guest hosts Len, of blu by Len Salon and Spa, and his partner, Larry, will be selling instant raffle envelopes for $50 pesos each or 5 for $200 pesos.

They are instant, because you open the envelope and know at once if you have won a prize. To top it off, with some 100 prizes in all, there will be a 50/50 chance of winning something, so the odds just can't be beat.

The prizes range from items worth a little over $50 pesos to a couple that are worth over $1000 pesos ... and lots in between. What a great and fun way to support a charity.

Very soon into the evening, you'll be hearing things like this in the restaurant. "I'll trade you this discount on a fishing trip for that pair of earrings you won." "OK, but I also want to trade this hand-blown glass heart I just won for that free golf green fee at the next table."

"Look, I just got a cute necklace and earrings!" "That's nothing. Look at this silver bracelet, and I also got a genuine replica Rolex watch!" "You be happy with what you won, but I'll take these discount certificates for dinner any day." This will go on all night. It's going to be a blast.

Proceeds from all the fun, along with 10% of the restaurant's gross receipts, contributed by proprietors Mike and Debbi Egan, will benefit R.I.S.E. (Refugio Infantil de Santa Esperanza), a nonprofit shelter for Banderas Bay area babies and children under the age of 14 who have been orphaned, abused, neglected or abandoned.

There will also be a live action before the evening is over. Items up for live auction will include four different multi-night stays, from 2 to 7 nights, in local and Mazatlan guest houses. Use these yourself or give them to visiting friends.

Also for auction will be a beautiful framed photography piece of some of the R.I.S.E. children entitled "Innocence, Compassion and Friendship" and a 3-foot tall pair of whimsical terra cotta sculptures, crafted by young artists in a studio in Guadalajara, entitled "Café Ladies."
