Punta Mita - DINE, Mexico’s premier real estate developer, announced today the launch of Las Cañadas, an enclave of large private mountainside homes set within the gated 1,500 acre Punta Mita resort community. Punta Mita is located on a spear-shaped peninsula surrounded on three sides by nine miles of white sandy beaches on the Pacific Coast, some 30 miles northwest of Puerto Vallarta.

Located on the dramatic Careyeros mountainside, the Las Cañadas community will boast panoramic views of the gorgeous Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses out to the crystal blue pacific, in a wooded setting unlike no other on the peninsula. Las Cañadas casitas are priced from $1.45 million to $2.35 million.

“Each of the 14 distinctive properties available in the first release offers a mountainside wooded setting, large property size, stunning vistas and lots of privacy. The value proposition is truly unprecedented,” says Andres Rossetto, Managing Director of Resort Development for Punta Mita and DINE, owner and developer of Punta Mita. “Las Cañadas promises to redefine quality of living and value in Punta Mita, with innovative designs and top-quality finishings.”

Each home in Las Cañadas is a collection of modular designed casitas constructed on large home sites. The main house is a gathering place for family and friends, while a separate master suite and garden suites provide intimate areas. The casitas will feature three or four bedroom configurations in layouts designed to maximize views from living areas.

Casitas offer a high level of finish and fixtures, including tropical wood doors, private covered parking, gourmet kitchens with disposals and granite countertops, natural stone or marble floors, hardwood cabinetry, bathrooms with twin lavatories, a tub in the master bath and spacious tiled showers.

Buyers of Las Cañadas property qualify for membership in the private Club Punta Mita, with an array of amenities, including the existing 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, a second Jack Nicklaus course (opening October 2008), the Punta Mita Tennis Club (managed by Four Seasons) and access to Punta Mita’s three Resident’s Beach Clubs, one of which is open on the west side of the peninsula; the second is under construction on the north side in the Kupuri area and slated to open in 2009. The third and final club is planned to open in the Ranchos area of Punta Mita on the Bay of Banderas. Residents also have access to a complete menu of services and activities through Punta Mita’s Residential Concierge Services.

Punta Mita boasts a Four Seasons Resort and several villa, condo and private home residence projects either completed or under development. DINE foresees a strong outlook for residential sales at Punta Mita in 2008, thanks to the opening of Punta Mita’s second 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, and the 120-room St. Regis Resort Punta Mita in October, complemented by several high-end residential offerings.

DINE has been at the forefront of large-scale, high-end commercial, residential and resort communities in Mexico. The company reported more than $104 million in sales closed for 2007 at Punta Mita, which was a 30 percent increase from 2006. DINE has invested $150 million so far in the project’s infrastructure. At full build-out, Punta Mita will have a real estate value of approximately $2 billion.
