A number of Banderas Bay area restaurants are offering Christmas menus that include everything from traditional yuletide fare to more enticing and innovative dishes.

Back Alley Steakhouse - 225 Francisco I. Madero, Romantic Zone
On December 24th, Back Alley will be hosting three seatings: 5 pm, 7 pm & 9 pm for a special Christmas Eve dinner that includes: Raisin Cranberry Salad, Roasted Cauliflower, Broccoli and Asparagus with Creamy Cheddar Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Tender Slow Cooked Prime Rib and Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding for $349 pesos. The recently relocated Boca Bento Latin Bar and Grill has found a new home in the Casa Iguana Resort in Mismaloya. This year they are offering a four-course dinner on both December 24 and 25, and the regular menu will also be available. The price for the four-course dinner is $38 USD. La Palapa - Pulpito 103, Playa Los Muertos
Enjoy Christmas Dinner with your toes in the sand! La Palapa's Christmas Menu features Pumpkin and Lobster Soup, Watercress Salad with jicama and orange segments, Roasted Turkey with truffle butter and White Wine Gravy, Corn and Cranberry Rolls, Corn Zucchini Muffins and Pumpkin Mousse. River Cafe - Isla Rio Cuale Local 4, El Centro
River Cafe will be serving up a special Christmas Menu on December 24th and 25th from 5-11 pm, which includes: Cream of Asparagus, with Confit Garlic Flan, Grilled Vegetable Salad with a Guava Vinaigrette, Roasted Turkey with all the trimmings bathed in apple juice, Dried Fruits and Vegetables Stuffing with Cranberries, Sweet Potato & Carrot Puree and traditional gravy, Goat Cheese Pie with Berry Fruit Sauce, Coffee or Tea for $350 pesos per person, not including gratuities. The Broadway Cafe - Olas Altas #351 (above Santa Barbara Theater)
On December 24th, The Broadway Cafe will have two seatings for Christmas Eve dinner. The first seating will be at 4 pm and the second at 6:30 pm. Diners will have a choice of ham or turkey (or a little of both,) served with all the traditional side dishes. A fresh Waldorf salad will get things started and a choice of two desserts will finish off the three courses. Coffee and tea are also included for just $250 pesos per person. They also have a delightful bit of entertainment planned; the mother/daughter singing group of Rose Marie and Linda Marie will sing a selection of Christmas songs for your enjoyment. Tikul - Paseo de la Marina #245, Marina Vallarta
Enjoy the elegant, sophisticated and unique experience of dining in Marina Vallarta, while listening to live Christmas melodies played on sax. The special Christmas dinner menu will be served on both December 24th and 25th, and features Pumpkin Cream Soup, Slow Roasted Turkey Breast with dried fruits, Yam Puree, Mashed Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, Baby Mixed Greens with Jamaica vinaigrette and Pumpkin Tart or Apple Pie. If you want something a little less traditional for Christmas Dinner, Trattoria Michel is the place for you. They will be serving a special multi-course dinner on both December 24th and 25th, that starts with Italian Cold Cuts, followed by your choice of Tagliatelle with cold Heirloom Tomato Sauce or a Mixed Garden Salad. After you’ve enjoyed the Sautéed Foie Gras with Apples and Balsamic Reduction, choose from three main courses: Chilean Sea Bass, Oven Roasted Filet Mignon with Chianti Sauce or Eggplant Parmigiana with Black Truffles. The grand finale to this feast is Homemade Plum Pudding, flambed at your table with warm Vanilla Sauce. Choose the three course menu for $390 pesos, four courses for $490 or five courses for $590.
