For more information, please contact Puerto Vallarta Navy League Vice President Bill Semeyn at pvnlac(at)comcast.net.
Plans are underway for the 11th Annual Toys for Tots Golf Scramble. This year's golf game will be played at Weiskopf course on Saturday December 12, 2009 with the Gala Cena Baile on Sunday, December 13th at the Marriott Casa Magna Resort and Spa.

Remember that 100% of the monies raised from these two events goes to buy toys for underprivileged children in Puerto Vallarta and the Banderas Bay area, which will be distributed on the Day of the Kings January 6th. Please start making plans now to attend this worthy and fun event.

An event planning meeting will be held soon at the Marriott Casa Magna Resort and Spa. Everyone who wants to be in the know and all volunteers (we’ll find something for you to do,) are invited to attend. Keep checking BanderasNews for schedules and updates.

If you have experience from past years or know someone who can solicit sponsorships, please come out and get involved. There’s lots of work to do but the rewards are manifold and best enjoyed in "las sonrisas del los niños" (the children's smiles.)

The local Toys for Tots effort is one of hundreds around the world, all triggered originally by a US Marines initiative at the close of World War II. In Puerto Vallarta, the key players in organizing this charity are the folks at the Marriott Hotel, the Navy League Council of Puerto Vallarta, the International Friendship Club and US Consular Agent Kelly Trainor.

For more information, please contact Puerto Vallarta Navy League Vice President Bill Semeyn at pvnlac(at)comcast.net.
