A Broken Art Gallery will feature a display of 'Boutique' Art Cakes by Pie in the Sky cake artist Zulem Angel Mendoza during the November 19th Bucerias Art Walk.
This week, Thursday, November 19th, to be exact, The Bucerias Art Walk welcomes visiting artist Patrice Wynn of San Miguel Design. Her aprons are a home-made business in every sense of the word. She began making aprons to help the women in her town of San Miguel de Allende who were exceptional seamstresses but without many opportunities to use their talents.

There are over 30 apron designs, including Frida Kahlo, Virgin of Guadalupe and Days of the Dead. Besides aprons, she and her seamstresses create handbags, napkins, kimonos, pajamas, men's shirts, ties, buttons - and even face masks. All of these products are handmade in San Miguel de Allende and are "The perfect gift from Mexico!"

Patrice will be displaying at Jan Maries Boutique, where you can also take home some of Jan's Famous Sauces and Reductions now packaged for your kitchen.

New to The Bucerias Art Walk is Eva's Brickhouse restaurant. Eva will have a glass blower, a wood carver, basket weavers, a finger painter and a local artist who works with chalk and oils, all Mexican Nationals. And don't forget her famous ceviche!

A Broken Art will feature a display of "Boutique" Art Cakes by Pie in the Sky cake artist Zulem Angel Mendoza. These mini cakes are about 5" wide by 3 1/2" tall. You can choose from a variety of designs, or personalize your own creation. These miniature edible pieces of art are available for $195 pesos per cake and are also available at either the Bucerias or Puerto Vallarta location of Pie In The Sky.

You can also order those gourmet tamales this week, deadline is Wednesday. For more information, email thebuceriasartwalk(at)gmail.com.
