Puerto Vallarta - Thousands of smiles where distributed this past January 11th, as kids from underprivileged communities in and around Puerto Vallarta received toys for Three Kings Day.

Goodwill was in the air as the day began, a warm cup of cocoa and the traditional Rosca de Reyes that Marriott offered, set everyone in the right mood to deliver joy around Puerto Vallarta. Starting at 7 am, the trucks and vans began their caravans.

More than one hundred volunteers distributed toys along 10 different routes, extending from Cabo Corriente, El Tuito, Boca de Tomatlán, Mismaloya, Las Palmas del Progreso, El Progreso, 12 de Octubre, Los Volcanes, Las Mojoneras, Magisterio, Loma Bonita, Joyas del Pedregal, La Floresta, Brisas del Pacifico, Las Palmas, Soyatán, Tebelchia, across the Sierra Madres to San Sebastián, Mezcalitos, Laguna, Tondoroque, Higuera Blanca and on to Sayulita, Guamuchil, San Quintín, San Ignacio, La Peñita, El Colomo, La Ceiba, El Carrizo, Los Sauces and Aguamilpa.

Thanks to the great efforts and commitment of the community and institutions that sponsored the 11th Annual Golf Tournament and Gala Dinner, the necessary funds to buy more than 10,000 toys were raised. Sponsors included the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & SPA, Navy League A.C., Club de Golf Vista Vallarta, and Coldwell Banker, making it possible for this amazing altruistic event to happen.

The CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort features 433 guest rooms, including 29 suites, each with a private balcony. Nestled between the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains and Mexico’s picturesque Bay of Banderas, the resort offers a variety of facilities for adults and children, including: 22,000-square-foot complete service Ohtli Spa (Puerto Vallarta’s largest resort spa); two lighted tennis courts; infinity oceanfront pool; various water sports and beach activities; multiple restaurants; and a Marriott Kids program. Guests can also enjoy nightly cigar rolling demonstrations in the resort’s lobby bar, stroll through the old town of Puerto Vallarta and enjoy the sights of colonial Mexico, view folkloric shows and historic Mexican landmarks, or experience jungle adventures.
