Lökös Paintings Sales Providing Becas Vallarta Scholarships

February 12, 2010

On February 20th from 11 am to 6 pm, Inge Lökös is hosting an Open House at her Plaza Santa Maria condominium, making it possible for art collectors to own a Stefan Lökös!

Checking out my friend Ingé Lökös’ website, I was thrilled to see large red "Sold" signs on many of the fabulous paintings by her late husband, lover, friend and soul mate, Stefan.

This not only benefits Ingé but she is also generously giving 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the paintings to Becas Vallarta, A.C. in memory of Stefan who loved this country and its children. The Lökös have always been staunch supporters of our scholarship foundation and Ingé is especially pleased, as are we in the foundation, to be able to sponsor scholarships in Stefan’s name.

Later, Ingé called to tell me that she is so pleased with the response to the website that she is planning an open house to thank those who have bought paintings and exhibit the remainder of this collection to those who have not yet viewed it.

She asked that I extend an invitation to her friends and other art lovers to an Open House at her condominium at Plaza Santa Maria, Febronio Uribe 100, Apt. 102C (just north of the Mega Supermarket on Francisco Medina Ascencio). The event will be on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 11 am to 6 pm, giving everyone time to come, have a glass of wine and a bite of cheese, view the paintings and enjoy the company of other aficionados as well as that of the gracious Ingé. Because these are "by owner" sales she is can sell these "collectors'" works of art at rock bottom prices. You can pick up a price list at the event.

Browse lokos.hostei.com, make your choice and plan to attend the Open House. Or better yet, call Ingé at (322) 225-2361, make an appointment to see the paintings in advance and have Ingé put one of those bright red sold signs on your painting!

When you get home with your painting, you will not only have an important addition to your art collection, but will be a part of the growing cadre of caring people who are supporting Becas Vallarta efforts to change the lives of young Vallartenses of great ability and little economic resources through education.

See you at Ingé’s on February 20th!

Polly is the author of "Tales of Retirement in Paradise: Life in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico" [a sell-out!] and "More Tales of Retirement in Puerto Vallarta and Around the World." Proceeds from the sale of her books go to the America-Mexico Foundation, a scholarship foundation that is their passion.
