The Puerto Vallarta Navy League invites you to it's traditional Mexican Charreada (Rodeo) with the performance of the best team in Jalisco, Horsemen (Charros) and skirmishes, on March 20th, 2010, at 11:00 am. If you like Charros (cowboys) and horses and pageantry, this is a very exciting event.

This will be the first of an annual event to assist in supporting the community activities of the Sea Services, those men and women that wish to assist the Mexican community when their ships stop in Puerto Vallarta for port calls and liberty.

In the past we have supported the Sea Services Activities with fund raising dinners. Due to declining revenues that we all have been experiencing this has not been enough. We needed major sponsors like our Toys for Tots Program has and this Charro event is the first Major Sponsor for our Sea Services Program outside of the on going generosity of our Navy League Members and Friends.

Many of you have been to the ComRels when a ship has come into port. This activity helps the Non-profit organizations in the Mexican Community of the Puerto Vallarta area with repair work that most of them cannot afford to do. It also gets them major publicity that in turn gives them more exposure and increases donations of goods, services and money that helps them survive. These are activities that are supported by the Navy League Sea Services program.

The Charro Benefit for the Puerto Vallarta Navy League will be held at the Lienzo Charro Miguel "Prieto" Ibarria in Puerto Vallarta. This is a popular rodeo site outside of downtown Puerto Vallarta. It is on the road popularly called the "BullFight Road" on the way to Colonia Ixtapa. There is ample parking available for events.

Ticket Price - Adults: $250 pesos, Children under 12: $50 pesos.

Traditional Mexican Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

For tickets, contact the Puerto Vallarta Navy League at NavyLeague(at)prodigy.net.mx; Carol at (322) 293-1268, or Laura at (322) 221-2493.

The Puerto Vallarta Navy League provides an opportunity to socialize as well as “give back” to our local community. For more information, visit VallartaNavyLeague.org, or send an email to pvnlac(at)comcast.net.
