April 05, 2010

For the month of April 2010, Chilean artist Oscar Capeche will be offering a 50% discount on his works at Galleria Dante on the south side of Vallarta.
Oscar Capeche has exhibited in Galleria Dante since 2003. The recent earthquake disaster in Chile has affected thousands of families, and according to the President of Chile, over 500,000 homes have been severely damaged, directly impacting seven key regions of the country. It was the worst natural disaster to strike the country in 50 years.

Oscar reports that he and his family are fine, but many of his neighbors are not: "Thanks for your notes and concern for us due to the recent 8.8 earthquake in Chile. The devastation is widespread and many people are living in tents, many improvised. The need to rebuild is pressing, especially as cool temperatures begin to arrive. Every day the news reports are worse, as each new day they discover more problems and the earthquakes and aftershocks continue. The damage is widespread and will take years to reconstruct."

Oscar was born in Argentina, but his wife is Chilean as are his children. He and his family need to raise funds in order to recover from this unfortunate event. For the month of April 2010, Oscar will be offering a 50% discount on his works at Galleria Dante. There are many fine works available, and the best ones will go fast. We will be adding new works during the next few days.

Open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, Galleria Dante is located at Basilio Badillo #269 on the South Side of Puerto Vallarta. For more information, call (322) 222-2477 or visit GalleriaDante.com.
