Over $5,000 was raised to support educational, environmental, animal and business programs in Punta de Mita at last month's 2nd Annual PEACE Art and Philanthropy Gala.
Punta de Mita, Nayarit – Over 65 enthusiastic supporters joined PEACE, a local non-profit, to raise over $5,000 to support educational, environmental, animal and business programs in Punta de Mita in the second annual Art and Philanthropy Gala at the Four Seasons Resort last month.

The Mexican themed evening included a buffet, live music by the Frixoleros, a moving video describing PEACE’s impact in the community, an art exhibition from local women and a silent and live art auction.

"This event not only raised significant funds for us, but was truly inspirational," said Molly Fisher, founder and director of PEACE. "It’s so encouraging to see the interest and generosity that is linking the expat and local communities together to better the town we all love and call home."

For their greatly valued support and contributions, PEACE would like the thank the Four Seasons, Marakame Marketing, Davanna Yoga, Marks Blue Water Grill, Barcelona Tapas, Villa Ananda, Jim Casey, Howard Weiser, Vallarta Adventures, Monterrey Beach Cabins, Mexico Boutique Hotels, Elizabeth Lloyd, Marco Alvarez, Julieta Ruiz, Destination:PEACE, Alisha Quinn & Greg Soucy.
PEACE: Protection, Education, Animals, Culture and Environment, is a nonprofit organization established in 2005, made of four main programs which focus on education, entrepreneurship, animal well-being, and community engagement in the coastal regions of Nayarit, Jalisco and Quintana Roo, Mexico. Through innovative and community based programs, PEACE is working to improve the quality of life in local communities throughout the Bahía de Banderas.
