Unwanted Cats Find Love at Pet Heaven

Pet Heaven is a non-profit shelter in Puerto Vallarta that provides homeless cats and kittens a recuperative stay with the ultimate goal to adopt them out to loving homes. For more information, visit PetHeavenMx.org. (video by PromoVision)
What a concept! Oh-so-many cats roaming free! That is what Pet Heaven, a no-kill cat shelter just outside of Puerto Vallarta, provides its residents. Solely dedicated to the health and well-being of the homeless and unwanted feline population of the Puerto Vallarta area, Pet Heaven doesn't like "cages" unless absolutely necessary. Pet Heaven also doesn't euthanize for population control reserving euthanasia exclusively for when a feline is suffering and there is no treatment or cure.

Rescues that are donated to Pet Heaven are given a recuperative stay with the goal of adopting them out into loving "forever" homes. No cat or kitten is put up for adoption without first being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and de-fleaed. Those felines that are not candidates for adoption (some are feral) live their lives out in Pet Heaven "free" to roam the 1/2 acre parcel of land and sleep the days away on the porch of the Mexican style ranch house there.

If you can give time and cuddles to our residents, we would be most appreciative! Volunteers are always needed for those cats that crave attention and also to help 'socialize' those who are not quite used to the human touch. One thing that visitors can be guaranteed is an overdose of purrs! Become involved! You'll be glad you did!

Pet Heaven runs solely on donations. To donate in the US and receive a tax exempt receipt, send your US Dollar check to: Pet Heaven, Inc., 7955 E. Chaparral #24, Scottsdale, Arizona 85250. To learn how to donate via Paypal, go to PetHeavenMx.org.

To donate Mexican pesos and/or cash, or for more information, contact Julie Bunker at Julievallarta(at)gmail.com. Driving instructions sent upon request. Look for us on Facebook.
