Punta de Mita, Nayarit - Giving back is good business – that’s what The Dazzling Details and Vallarta Adventures decided when they invested their time and money into local non-profit, PEACE.

Kristin Crawford, owner of The Dazzling Details, a wedding coordination and design business based in Puerto Vallarta, spent years doing non-profit work and is now instilling those values in her employees today. Her team launched a five-day, two-fold effort to raise funds through a PEACE-coordinated flood relief in September.

"Flooding is such a sad and devastating reality for some, yet provides an incredible opportunity to demonstrate how powerful and positive a uniting human force can be," Crawford said.

$5 USD worth of food and cleaning supplies were donated for each comment the company’s Facebook page received, while their clients had the opportunity to contribute to a "donation collection." The combined efforts raised nearly $2000 USD in just five days.

Tour giant, Vallarta Adventures also joined the community force, generously donating $20,000 pesos towards medications and supplies for PEACE animal spay and neuter clinics.

"It’s been so great to see this kind of corporate responsibility," said Molly Fisher, Founder of PEACE. "These businesses have shown the conscientiousnes to not only build a successful economy, but to build a successful community."
