January 29, 2011

The Peter Gray Art Museum on the campus of Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUC) will be hosting an exhibition of the beautiful tapestry of world-renowned weavers Jean Pierre Larochette and Yael Lurie and other invited weavers from around the world on Wednesday, February 2nd.

The artists will be in attendance, to answer your questions about this ancient art form, and to explain the works on display. The opening reception will be from 6-8 pm, and is free of charge.

While at the museum, please be sure to also admire works of art from the museum's permanent collection and the impressive sculpture garden adjoining the museum. The Peter Gray Art Museum is a wonderful addition to the Puerto Vallarta art scene - so don't miss this opportunity to see it first hand, if you haven't already done so. The museum is open every weekday and on Saturday mornings. There is no admission charge.

For more information on the visiting weavers, please visit AmericanTapestryAlliance.org. We look forward to seeing you on February 2, 2011. The tapestries will remain on exhibit for approximately two weeks.
