The Becas Ball, celebrating 50 years of giving scholarships to bright, but economically challenged young Vallartenses, will be Saturday, February 26, 2011 in the grand ballroom of the Casa Magna Marriott Hotel in Marina Vallarta.
The gala event will begin at 7:00 pm with a free cocktail hour followed at 8:00 pm by a four-course gourmet dinner with white and red wine.
There will be a silent auction of fabulous prizes, door prizes and a few surprises. Grupo Odisea, from Ciudad Guzman, will once again delight the attendees with their fabulous music for dancing and their beautifully choreographed show. Tickets are $1,200 pesos each or the dollar equivalent and must be purchased in advance. Table may only be reserved with the purchase of all 10 tickets.
Thousands of former Becas Vallarta, A.C. (America-Mexico Foundation, Inc.) scholarship students are now at the forefront of a vibrant and educated Puerto Vallarta. Our alumni are teaching in the schools, practicing law, medicine, veterinary science, dentistry as well as running small and large businesses, all making Puerto Vallarta a better place through their leadership.
Our goal is to be able to celebrate another fifty years by continuing to up the number of scholarships we give each year! In the school year 2010-1011 we are giving 111 scholarships in junior high, 134 in high school and 131 in university for a grand total of 376. Your purchase of tickets to the 2011 Becas Ball will help raise the number of scholarships we can give in the coming year.
