Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Due to school schedules, local non-profit PEACE is celebrating Earth Day a month late, and invites everyone to join in the festivities!

We have a FUN celebration with Bucerías Bilingual Community Center & Recicladores de Bucerías planned for Saturday, May 21, 2011. Activities are scheduled from 10 am to 1 pm and we NEED volunteers to help! We will have games and yoga and painting and all sorts of fun things to do. Please contact me if you are interested in helping out - volunteers need to report at 9:30 am.

Our 2nd Annual River Cleanup with Rivera Cuale & Vallarta Adventures is scheduled for 9:30 am on Sunday, May 22nd at the Rivera Cuale development in El Caloso. First, we will have a briefing with a Vallarta Adventures staff member and then we'll do some cleaning! (Gloves and bags will be provided.)

Later, we'll have a picnic lunch in the Rivera Cuale - PEACE community garden followed by an awards ceremony. Please bring a covered dish to share and join us for a fun-filled day of community service.

We have a big summer ahead of us and many many volunteer opportunities! Below you will find PEACE beach cleanup dates in Puerto Vallarta as well as upcoming animal clinic in locations around Banderas Bay. PEACE, (Protection, Education, Animals, Culture, Environment) established in 2005, is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization made up of three main programs which focus on education, animal well-being, and environmental protection in the Bay of Banderas, Nayarit, Mexico.
