June 7, 2011

From new products and special offers, Los Mercados is always serving up something delicious! New summer hours – Mon through Sat from 9 am to 6 pm. For more information, visit LosMercadosPV.com.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Vallarta’s favorite one-stop-shop for everything delicious just keeps on adding more and more items and options to their already wide and tasty selection!

This month, you’ll want to stop by Mikey’s and check out their wide selection of fresh salads, drop in to k’ rico :) for their 2-for-1 yummy pastries, and check out a new type of Argentinean wine at Cork + Bottle.

Just as the summer starts heating up, rely on Mikey’s to help cool you off with their wide selection of fresh salads. Mikey’s has many prepared green leaf salads to choose from as well as these favorites:

GREEK: Tomato, bell pepper, cucumber, red onion, kalamata olives, feta cheese, herbs. THREE BEAN: Kidney beans, garbanzo beans, green beans, red onions and ELLIOT’S SLAW: Cabbage, red bell peppers, red onion, carrot, cilantro soy sherry dressing and spiced almonds.

What could be better than a cold refreshing salad? Plus, from their pantry, all of their mustards are on sale during June, including Sierra Nevada, Coleman’s, French’s, Inglehoffer and more. Plus... the original Triscuits are on sale for $84 pesos!

María Ines of k’rico :) has added really yummy muffins to her wonderful morning pastry offerings: Gluten-Free Banana, Blueberry and Whole Wheat Apple-Cinnamon. To make these and her other pastries even more irresistible, they’re offering a 2 for 1 on their Cinnamon Rolls, Danish Braids, Muffins, Scones and Tropical Empanadas.

Would you like coffee with that? How about an Americano for just $9 pesos? That’s “almost free!” Both offers are only good from 9 am to noon.

Have you ever heard of torrontés? If not, you’re not alone. This wine grape is grown primarily in Argentina and is a distant cousin to the muscat of Alexandria and criolla varietals.

With the best torrontés wines you can expect citrus and honeysuckle aromas, medium body and good acid on the finish. Perfect with lighter fish, sushi or a spicy shrimp ceviche. Cork + Bottle is currently stocking the Trapiche Torrontés, Santa Ana Eco Organic Torrontés, Santa Ana Torrontés and Tilia Torrontés.

Come on in for a sample and check out the wide variety of wines & spirits that Cork + Bottle offers. Also, did you know that Cork + Bottle is serving-up signature cocktails during summer? Come in, try one and cool off.

So, the next time you have a craving for something really good, head on over to Los Mercados on the south side of Puerto Vallarta. Open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm, Los Mercados is located one half-block west of Rizo’s at Aquiles Serdan #265.
